300 Seconds

With 300 seconds we've aspired to launch a series of short documentaries that reach a broad audience and create debate and enthusiasm. At the same time the project aims at creating a new platform for showing quality docmentaries. WEB-distributed media holds the promise of the future, and in the Norwegian context this possibility has not yet been tapped into. We've entered a creative collaboration with Norway's most visited WEB-TV channel. VGTV.no is the WEB-TV channel of one of Norway's leading taboids (VG) and has enjoyed immense success the last couple of years with their continually evolving media platform. The collaboration opens up a new exiting opportunities for our filmmakers - through effective and broad distribution and public interaction. We've agreed that our documentaries should strive for quality, clarity and immediacy. At the same time we've wanted to make films that go for an uncompromising and anarchistic approach. Other than that the themes and visual language have been left to the individual directors. The directors; Thor Bekkavik, Even Benestad and August B. Hanssen, Kenneth Elvebakk, Solveig Melkeraaen, Erling Borgen and Tommy Gulliksen.
